Українська еліта як важлива складова соціально-культурної цілісності нації

Abstract

UA: В статті аналізується сутність нації, її відмінність від етносу та складний історичний шлях її становлення і розвитку. Доведено, що основною із сутнісних ознак нації, є її цілісність, яка проявляється у зведенні воєдино всіх інших складових національного організму. Цим нація відрізняється від етносу, представники якого не усвідомлюють свою самобутність як певну цілісність. Зрілість нації виявляє себе у чіткому вирізненні себе серед інших, що передбачає протиставлення себе цим іншим.

EN: The article analyses the essence of the nation, its difference from ethnos and its difficult historical way of formation and development. It is proved that one of the most important national traits is its integrity which becomes apparent by integration of all other constituents of the national organism. This is the difference between the nation and the ethnos whose representatives are not aware of their unique identity as certain integrity. The maturity of the nation shows in the precise differentiation between oneself and others which presupposes the contrasting of oneself and the others.
