| Abstract: | The efficiency of freight transportation can be improved by the use of hopper containers. If required they can be equipped with lift-off roofs, which makes it possible to transport the freight requiring protection from weather. The possibility to transport these containers by sea was studied through. The research conducted will promote the designing of containers with better technical and operational characteristics that will improve the efficiency of container transportation. |
