Abstract

Rail transport is recognized as one of the most energy-efficient and environmentally friendly modes of transport. However, in the context of the global fight against climate change, the industry continues to evolve, introducing innovative technologies to minimize its environmental impact. Sustainable development at Ukrainian Railways is a comprehensive railway transport management strategy aimed at achieving a balance between economic efficiency, environmental responsibility, and social sustainability, taking into account current challenges. As the country's largest carrier, Ukrainian Railways plays a key role in shaping a sustainable transport environment, as rail transport is one of the most energy-efficient and environmentally friendly modes of transport.
