Using Drones to Monitor the Condition of Rails

Abstract

Ensuring the safety of train traffic is one of the key tasks of modern railway transport, which directly depends on the technical condition of the rail track. In the context of increasing traffic intensity, increasing traffic speeds and deterioration of infrastructure, traditional methods of track condition monitoring are increasingly insufficient, operational and resource-intensive. This necessitates the search and implementation of innovative technologies for technical diagnostics.
