Improving the organisation of international rail transport under martial law conditions

Abstract

Under the martial law in effect in Ukraine, railway transport plays a central role in ensuring the movement of freight and passengers. Its primary function is to organise logistics for the transportation of export and import cargo, humanitarian aid, and the evacuation of civilians. Despite the strategic importance of the sector, a number of challenges in the organisation of international rail transport remain unresolved, posing a threat to the stable operation of the entire transport system.
