UA: Вантажні станції у сучасних умовах відіграють зовсім не останню роль у зародженні вантажопотоків на залізницях. Від ефективності роботи вантажних станцій залежить ефективність роботи дільниць у цілому. Підвищення ефективності роботи станції на сьогодні відбувається в основному за рахунок перегляду існуючої технології роботи шляхом зниження експлуатаційних витрат чи впровадження новітніх технологій та модернізації оснащення станції.

EN: Freight Station in the present conditions play a significant role in the origin of goods traffics on railways. From efficiency of freight stations depends the effectiveness of work of areas in general. Improving the efficiency of the station today occurs mainly at the expense revision of the existing technology of work by reducing of operating costs or the introduction of new technologies and modernization of equipping of stations. To the basic tasks of railway stations include: reduction of operating costs and cost price of transportations, increasing productivity and profitability transportations. Assignments to reduce operating costs are achieved through rational use of tangible and Fuel and energy resources, and efficient use of property of station and rolling stock.
