| Abstract: | Corrosion of steel reinforcement of reinforced concrete structures, which is caused by chlorides, poses a serious threat to global infrastructure. The main sources of chloride ions exposure to reinforced concrete are aqueous solutions containing chlorides – seawater, anti-icing salts. With the penetration of chlorides into concrete and reaching a critical concentration, depassivation occurs, and then corrosion of steel reinforcement. |
