| Abstract: | The increasing frequency of disruptions affecting global supply chains has prompted firms to reconsider the configuration of their production and logistics networks. The COVID-19 pandemic, geopolitical tensions, trade disputes, military conflicts, and transportation bottlenecks have exposed the vulnerabilities associated with geographically dispersed supply chains optimized primarily for cost efficiency. |
